Beware - you may get NiMH batteries even if you order NiCd
I ordered 2 Panasonic P-P592 NiCd (nickel-cadmium) batteries for an old cordless phone. That's what the picture on Amazon's web site showed. However, what I received were 2 Panasonic HHR-P592 NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) batteries. Note that Amazon themselves did not ship the batteries, but rather, they came directly from a third-party company.
The NiMH batteries are APPARENTLY suitable replacements for the NiCd batteries, but some battery...

Basically this battery was exactly what I needed and now the phone works great!!!
