Handiest, most convenient thing ever!
I got this prior to a recent trip, and boy am I glad! Drop 4 batteries in it, plug my phone or iPod into it, and it charged all the way, plus I could then charge my cell phone too.
Here's what I did with them:
I purchased 2000 mAh Energizer rechargeables and a charger... used those instead of standard disposable batteries. When I'd get back in the evening just charge back up whatever i'd used during the day. Get a pack of 8...
DOES NOT WORK FOR HTC HERO!!!!!
I researched and decided to buy this product as it seemed like a great idea and had many favorable reviews. However, i tried using it with my HTC Hero with bad results. I only used the charger once before it basically melted. For reference, I used Sanyo Eneloop batteries in the charger and I used the retractable cable provided with the mini usb adapter. The charger did recharge my batteries, but it got so hot when charging my phone that the outer case...
