Good value for the price
I have recorded Wimbledon finals in SP format using the built-in tuner. It came out pretty good. Almost like HD quality. I tried another recording session with LP setting and the difference in video quality is like day and night. The lessons learnt is never to use quality setting LP and EP. The tuner does a very good job. It picked up all the broadcast channels plus the cable channels that are in 'clear'. Did not try recording off of VHS tape yet. Overall...

First, I wanted to know if the product would actually work without too much of a hassle and how complicated the set-up would be. I wanted a DVD/VCR unit with tape and disc player features.
