Great radio!
I love this radio. I usually listen to AM talk while at the beach. The Sangean is perfect for this use. The AM reception is great. I get stations from 75 miles+ with no problem. I like the sound too. Good, high quality voice and music. The presets are a nice touch. I could use more than five per band, but I can't really downgrade for that. The batteries last and last, I haven't even tried the rechargable yet. I don't think I will bother with it as alkaline...
Fringe area reception is better than our Tivioli
We live 70 miles from Seattle and FM reception changes with the seasons. We have GE Super Radios but I wanted something prettier for the kitchen so chose a Tivioli small table radio only to find it goes out of tune easily. A person can stand static only so long, I have to put down my knitting and go tune it in. NOT NICE. Reading reviews I then chose this small white radio which we listen to instead of the Tivioli as it gets great reception of the Seattle...
